Nordic ID becomes a member of RAIN
In December 2015, Nordic ID joined RAIN RFID. It is an
alliance promoting UHF RFID technology and its universal adoption.
The alliance uses the GS1 UHF Gen2 protocol, and the name RAIN
comes from RAdio frequency IdentificatioN, which is described as a
link between UHF RFID and the cloud.

Nordic ID at events
NRF Retail Big Show, New York, 2016
This week Nordic ID took part in the National Retail Federation's
Retail Big Show. The event gathered more than 33 500 visitors,
and Nordic ID was represented by Jessica Säilä (Business Area
Director, Retail), Jukka Hieta (Executive Director, Sales &
Marketing) and Lothar Struckmeier (Managing Director at Nordic ID
GmbH). Lots of different technology solutions for retail were at
display, and the focus of Nordic ID lied in RFID technology.
A change from last year was the role of different analytics,
which is seen as a constantly rising trend - buying behaviour
analysis and product interest rate analysis to mention some.
Different kinds of digital signage solutions were also exhibited
that apply to several technologies.
The Nordic ID crew enjoyed the hectic event and spent their time
meeting their customers, mainly apparel and general merchandise
retailers from America and Europe. In addition, they gathered with
a few partners both at daytime and for dinner. Joint possibilities
for 2016 were discussed - the NRF is always a great kick-off for
the started year!
